EMITE will moderate the CTIA Wireless 2012 MIMO OTA Panel Forum and Debate.

With MIMO OTA booming in 2012, the CTIA panel on Over-The-Air Signal Challenges and Analysis - LTE RAN, scheduled for May 9, 2012 at the CTIA Wireless 2012 convention in New Orleans, USA, will be Moderated by Prof. David A. Sanchez-Hernandez, CEO of EMITE. Participants in the Panel include Anritsu, Azimuth, Rohde & Schwarz, and Electro Rent. This Forum provides an understanding of Over-The-Air, multipath signal challenges, the impact on network performance and considerations for end-to-end testing. EMITE Ing will exhibit at the European Conference on Antennas and Propagation (EuCAP) 2011

EMITE will exhibit the latest developments of the E Series MIMO Analyzer at the EuCAP 2011 conference exhibition, which will take place at EUR Palazzo de Congressi in Rome, from April 11 to April 14, 2011. EMITE Ing and AT4 wireless will undergo the first Throughput tests of the soon available LTE terminals worldwide
Over 850 delegates from telecommunication companies worldwide met at Xian (China) in October and selected EMITE Ing, in co-operation with AT4 wireless, to be the first company to run MIMO OTA Throughput tests over the 5 available LTE terminals worldwide using an E400 mode-stirred reverberation chamber and a recently released E2010 LTE-enabled Base Station Emulator. These tests will be ready by the end of the year, and will bring some light into the behaviour of the novel LTE handsets and dongles under a variety of circumstances.

After the initial contributions of EMITE Ing to 3GPP, CTIA and COST2100, an agreement between the Centre Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (CTTC) grants EMITE Ing ETSI access as full member of 3GPP RAN#4, while provides access of CTTC to the standardization activities of CTIA RCSG. This makes EMITE Ing the only Spanish company on the selected standardization subcommittee.

EMITE Ing releases the 8x8 MIMO Analyzer Series E200. As expected, the Series E200 was released for the Spring 2009 during EuCAP 2009 in Berlin. The new Series provides for direct measurements of gain and capacity loss due to the user’s presence or efficiency, number of resolvable multipath components (MPC), angle of arrival (AoA), Mean Effective Gain (MEG) or Effective MEG (EMEG), all united in one single and intuitive interface. The new capabilities are offered on top of the existing correlation, diversity gain, efficiency and MIMO capacity of the E100 Series. Likewise, the new capabilities include measurements for a wide variety of Rician and non-isotropic environments on top of the existing Rayleigh-fading emulation of the E100 Series (patent protected).

EMITE Ing has signed a cooperation agreement with Schmid & Partner Engineering AG (SPEAG). The Swiss company SPEAG commercialises DASY systems worldwide with excellent reputation at the main telecommunication companies. EMITE Ing will deliver the SPEAG SAM and SHO phantoms within the MIMO Analyzer Series E200, released this week on the EuCAP 2009 Exhibition in Berlin. EMITE Ing engineers have found that MEG and EMEG shows less variability with SAM v4.5BS head phantom and SHO v2RBLB hand phantoms by SPEAG. The combined effort of EMITE Ing and SPEAG will be shown at life demos during EuCAP 2009 (23-26 March, 2009).

EMITE Ing has signed the first MIMO Analyzer delivery of 2009 to an R&D Institute in Spain. As it happened in 2008, bargain prices are finally invoiced to the first customer of the year with a MIMO Analyzer firm petition, while the second petition receives discounts of up to 20%. The customer receives a nice unexpected surprise over its prior quotation. This marketing strategy has already proven effective to providing good luck in forthcoming sales.
