EMITE and Anritsu Corporation announce the enhanced functionality to the Over-the-Air (OTA) measurement solution, allowing measuring to compliance with the latest Wireless LAN standard IEEE 802.11be.

Offering integrated communications protocols and optimized performance for testing, EMITE chambers and Anritsu MT8862A provide reliable characterization of the Wi-Fi 7 devices on the market.








EMITE and Anritsu Corporation have added the 6 GHz band to their newly integrated testing system, allowing testing to the new IEEE 802.11ax WLAN standard. The new band adds to the already available 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands

F200 Reverberation Chamber SKAOFollowing a competitive tender process, EMITE OTA test systems, together with Australian partner company Maser, has been awarded a €1M contract by the SKA Observatory (SKAO) to manufacture and supply a reverberation chamber for the SKA project in Australia.

The SKAO is a global observatory that is building and operating cutting-edge radio telescopes that will transform our understanding of the Universe, and deliver benefits to society through global collaboration and innovation. The SKA observatory has a global footprint and consists of the SKAO Global Headquarters in the UK, the SKAO’s two telescopes at radio quiet sites in South Africa and Australia, and associated facilities to support the operations of the telescopes.

EMITE has been contracted to manufacture and supply parts for a reverberation chamber for the SKA-Low telescope. This chamber will be used to undertake the emissions compliance testing of SKA-Low telescope systems and associated hardware. Any technology used on the SKA-Low telescope site has to meet the most stringent radio interference standards ever achieved. The reverberation chamber will be used to characterise the emissions from unshielded technologies and devices, and provide the detailed information needed to determine shielding requirements.

EMITE has been selected by Saudi Arabia authorities to install a first-of-its-kind large anechoic chamber for antenna and RCS OTA testing. The outstanding antenna carrousel EMITE technology, which enables full automation throughput a wide spectrum up to 220 GHz, has been a key factor for the selection of EMITE Test Systems. The F-Series large anechoic chamber will include both the Direct Far Field (DFF) and Compact Antenna Test Range (CATR) test methods and will undoubtedly represent the state of the art in the region and a good progress for EMITE expansion into the Middle East.

The Anritsu Wireless Connectivity Test Set MT8862A, Radio Communication Analyzer MT8821C and Bluetooth Test Set MT8852B have been integrated with the EMITE E600 Reverberation Chamber. The solution allows the testing of OTA TRP/TIS/TPUT performance in a repeatable environment. With integral communications protocols and optimized performance for testing, the EMITE reverberation chamber and Anritsu platforms can reliably characterize the different coexistence scenarios of the latest devices.
